EXPERIENCE
ONE-TO-ONE TUTORING Over eleven years experience working with students one-on-one teaching reading and spelling. Have worked successfully with over 100 students of all reading levels and abilities (including those identified with learning and attention difficulties), ages 5 years to adult. EDUCATIONAL TREATMENT PLANNING Plan, pace, and monitor the effectiveness of both remedial and developmental educational treatment programs. Modify treatment plans as necessary according to the needs of the student in order to maximize positive results. Personalize and refine tutoring programs to coordinate with relevant school and life needs. DIAGNOSTIC TESTING Administer, score, and interpret various educational diagnostic and achievement tests, including Evaluation of Basic Skills, Gray Oral Reading Tests-4th Edition, and others. Have researched and implemented effective group reading assessments for classroom use. ADMINISTRATION Write and edit testing summaries and reports. Conduct client consultations and treatment updates. Plan and coordinate on-site academic intervention services for at-risk students. Have reviewed and edited children's book manuscripts. Have coordinated accommodated exam arrangements for students with special needs. ADULT TRAINING Teach adults basic literacy skills. Have conducted parent training workshops. Have coordinated and led employee training sessions and mentored newly-trained staff. Have developed client and employee instruction guides and other training materials.
